I've been a Star Trek fan for 30 years. I got started on TNG, but now I find it difficult to decide what my favorite series is. I am extremely fond of TOS, ENT, VOY, and DS9 and have a tendency to enjoy minor recurring or one off characters like Martok, Shran, Solok, Vorik, and Grilka. I'm a convention goer and enjoy meeting other Trekkies/Trekkers and the guests.
Outside of Star Trek I currently work as an Educational Assistant at an Elementary school as well as a part time assistant manager in retail. I have 2 degrees and enjoy reading and writing as hobbies. I'm a bit overweight, but do enjoy participating in and watching sports. Easy going and usually am able to play it cool when times are stressful or the chips are down, I'm usually smiling anyways. Surprisingly to myself these past few years, have found me to be very outgoing and shedding my loner mentality. Fiercely loyal to those I trust and can say that I miss those whom I disassociated myself from for the sake of self-preservation. I am wierd though. Alot of emotional and behavioral baggage that is being left behind gradually as life goes on. Currently struggling with the dog eat dog mindset and disposition of society to lack empathy and compassion for one another. Always I wonder about the greater visualizations of achievements and the power of having a dream and the will to go the rocky paths just to see it fulfilled, damn it all type of mentality. So basically, I got problems. So does anyone else in this planet. Cast your stones if you must, just toss one up while you're at it. I wish for a family. A big family. One that isn't perfect, but one that is loving of each other lifting one another above the pettiness of hurt and hate.
